Logan for Labor Day

For labor day this year, we thought we would head up to Logan to escape the heat slash bond with Tom's family.  We love love love St George and all our friendsies here, but there is definitely something to be said about having family around.  We try and see our families every chance we have.  So boom, we went there for Labor Day.  It was actually the best decision ever because while being a fabulous weekend for doing absolutely nothing and soaking up the family love, it was also our nephew's baptism.  We were lucky to be able to attend such a special day for Jakob.

Even though we made no plans for the trip, it seemed to fill up with important visits and events super quickly.  Grandpa made Marilyn (and all other toddler aged cousins) a toddler bed out of the old crib and Marilyn LOVED that she had a bed just her size to sleep in.  Then, I TOTALLY SCORED at a yard sale when me and Ryan went out.  He scored some screaming deals also like a totally rad giraffe, and a cool toy that says letters.

We went to Bear Lake to visit Tom's Grandma and Grandpa Hansen, Marilyn's middle name is Noreen which is Tom's grandma's name so we think it's special when we get to visit them.

Grandma Noreen loves crossword puzzles and apparently so does Marilyn Noreen.

Aunt Cari saved Marilyn's life with these little numbers...an Elmo sweatshirt with matching socks! Pretty rad...Marilyn asks me to wear them every single day!

We went on a labor day celebratory hike.  Grandpa made this radical walking stick, she almost died it was so amazing...

Jen, Ryan and Amelia came with us and Marilyn loved that there was someone else her size around.  They were so funny together.

This is one of Tom's nature shots...pretty sweet right?

This is Tom's cute parents.  We love them.  We miss them all the time, and can't wait to see them again because that means UNCLE MAX IS COMING HOME!
