Let the Celebration Begin...

Marilyn's birthday is on July 10th, so in the future I know that I will try hard to avoid celebrating on 4th of July weekend, but this year it made it nice because my family could come into town to celebrate with us.  It was a crazy fun weekend and Marilyn loved that Grammie and Far Far came to our house to play.

The weekend started with an evening out at the St George splash pad, downtown.  We brought dinner and the girls ran around like maniacs until Marilyn literally asked me to go home.  It was a great way to start because we just sat around and chatted and ate way to much...like we Nielsens do...

Then the next morning, the PARTY started! We had a morning party, a morning breakfast party, a morning breakfast make-your-own waffle party.  It was super fun and we were so grateful that everyone came and had fun.

Jeff and Tom were in charge of making the Orange Julius's (J and J 's recipes...which is rad that they let us use it)...basically they are delicious!

Marilyn seriously wanted to wear those pink shoes...I mean did she not notice her PERFECTLY planned and coordinating outfit to both the day and the party? Have no fear, she wore the perfect red patent leather loafers...

Marilyn got some rad gifts...Grammie made this for Marilyn's big girl bed.  She got sand toys, and Elmo movie, some pretty amazing sunglasses and this beauty set...

I think Marilyn loved most of all the time we got to spend with Grammie and Far Far and Cami...cause seriously...aren't they so so so cute?

We got Marilyn this trike...she loves it, but it's a little too big so all she can do is sit on it...One day, one day!
