Facebook Status

Are facebook status' weird? I think it is HYSTERICAL that I (and everyone else) feels the need to update the Internet telling everyone what we are doing, how we are feeling and other things like what we ate, what we are wearing and who we are with.  As if it is not enough to be connected, we must tell everything little detail of our lives.  I secretly love it, but outwardly think it is weird.  Here are my latest facebook status's.

December 12
Just listened to Marilyn tell her piggy bank (her favorite toy right now) the entire Christmas story. "Baby Jesus has a Mommy and Daddy and they ride donkeys. There are angels that sing and sheep came! Camels too! Baby Jesus is so beautiful"...I love that she in some small way gets what this is all about!

Marilyn just told me she would take care of baby Jeff and that I should go take a nap...I am tempted, but then I remember she is 2 and he is 3 weeks old...probably should save nap time for when she is sleeping too...

February 3
‎6 hours of sleep in a row???? I'm a new woman!

Basically, the moral of the story is if you didn't know me at all, you would know what I'm all about...my whole life is out in the open, no secrets over here! Welcome world, this is me!

Comin' Home, Plus One

I remember how special a feeling it was to bring Marilyn home, and Jeff was no different.  We were so excited that both of us were discharged less than 24 hours after delivery.  We got him all bundled up (for the freezing St George winter HAHA) and put in his car seat.  Doesn't he look SO SO SO small in there?

I was a little nervous about how Marilyn would react to seeing the baby come into our house and not leave.  But she was waiting by the window looking for us to drive into the drive way, she ran out as fast as her little legs (which now don't seem so little) would carry her to help Daddy with the car seat.  She wants to help carry it every time we leave the house.

Immediately upon arrival Marilyn decided it was time to hurry and show Baby Jeff all her toys, especially her dress up clothes! She felt it was necessary to sit RIGHT in the very middle of everything so she wouldn't miss anything.  Although it was squishy, it was adorable and I was so grateful for this blessing.

This is what our mornings are like now...Marilyn hurries into our room to "check" on her baby, which usually wakes him up and then we cuddle in bed until I feel utterly squished and MUST move.

The moral of the story is Missy LOVES her baby and loves taking pictures with him and it so so so adorable with him.  She loves to hold him (for 2 seconds) and tickle his toes.  She loves to tell him to take a deep breath and she rocks at telling me the moment (and every moment until I can get there) when he is crying.  I am grateful for her and him, but mostly them together.
